Tickera integration with AffiliateWP add-on is not working
you installed the Tickera + AffiliateWP integration add-on, expected affiliate tracking to start working, and nothing’s recording. Almost always because one of the three required pieces isn’t in place — Tickera (yes), AffiliateWP itself (often missed), and the integration bridge (this add-on).
The three required pieces
The integration add-on you bought from us is only the bridge. By itself it does nothing. You need all three of these installed and active:
- Tickera — premium version, license activated, on the latest release.
- AffiliateWP — the actual affiliate-tracking plugin from affiliatewp.com. This is a separate paid product, not a Tickera add-on.
- Tickera AffiliateWP integration — our Affiliate WP add-on, installed and activated.
If you’re missing piece #2 (AffiliateWP itself), our integration has nothing to integrate with — and silently does nothing.
Verification checklist
In WordPress admin → Plugins, you should see all three of these as active:
- Tickera (Premium)
- AffiliateWP
- Tickera AffiliateWP Integration
If any one is missing, that’s your problem.
Once all three are installed
Follow the setup steps in our AffiliateWP integration documentation — configure AffiliateWP’s referral rate, currency, and pages, then enable Tickera transactions as eligible for referrals in AffiliateWP settings. The integration add-on registers Tickera orders as completed referrals automatically.
Other causes if all three are installed and it still doesn’t track
- Caching. Aggressive page caching can strip the affiliate referral cookie before the buyer reaches checkout. Exclude Tickera and AffiliateWP pages from caching — see configuring caching plugins.
- Cookie consent banner blocking affiliate cookies until accepted. If a buyer never accepts the consent banner, no cookie, no tracking.
- Affiliate URL malformed. AffiliateWP uses URLs like
?ref=AFFILIATE_ID. Make sure your affiliates are sharing correct URLs — bad URLs ⇒ no referral. - Wrong referral type. AffiliateWP can be configured to only credit referrals from specific gateways. Check that Tickera (or WooCommerce, if Bridge mode) is on the eligible list.
Bridge for WooCommerce mode
If you’re running Tickera via Bridge for WooCommerce, AffiliateWP’s existing WooCommerce integration takes over — you may not need our integration add-on at all, since Tickera tickets are WooCommerce products and AffiliateWP’s native WooCommerce tracking catches the sales. Test with a small purchase first to confirm referrals record before scaling your affiliate program.
