Your check-in app,
in your team’s language.

  • Edit every string from WordPress — no code, no app rebuilds
  • No external translation tools — everything happens in WordPress
  • Pulls into the app on next login — no app-store update
  • Works on iOS and Android — one source, two platforms

What you can translate

Six surfaces in the app
that meet your staff in their language.

Every button, label, error

Scan, Check In, Already Used, Invalid Ticket, Connection Lost — every string in the app is editable as a row in WordPress.

Login + auth screens

The screens your staff hit first — site URL, username, password, “sign in,” “wrong credentials.” All translatable.

Event & ticket lists

“Today’s events,” “Ticket types,” “Sold,” “Available,” “Checked in” — all the navigation copy in the staff’s native language.

Scan-result messages

The big green “CHECKED IN” and the big red “ALREADY SCANNED” — the strings that staff see hundreds of times a night.

Push to app on next login

Edit a string in WP, the volunteer logs out and back in — new wording appears. No App Store update, no waiting for review.

One source of truth

Translations live in WordPress. No external translation tools to manage, no separate language files to keep in sync between site and app.

How it works

Edit in WordPress.
Appears in the app.

01

Open

Find the translation screen.

One screen in WordPress admin lists every translatable string in the Checkinera app — English on the left, your translation on the right.

02

Translate

Type the new wording.

Fill in the boxes — or paste from a CSV your translator sent you. Save. The strings store as post meta on your WordPress — no app needs to deploy anything.

03

Sync

Volunteer logs in.

The Checkinera app pulls fresh strings on every login. Your gate staff opens the app, signs in to your site — and the labels are already in their language.

Common questions

Things people ask
about translating the app.

Which languages are supported?
Any language. We don’t ship pre-translated packs — you write the translation. UTF-8 throughout, so Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, Hebrew, Russian, Greek, Turkish — whatever your staff speaks, you can type.
Do I need to update the app from the App Store?
No. The strings live on your WordPress, the app fetches them on login. Update the translation in WP at 3 PM, your gate staff logs in at 6 PM — they see the new wording. No App Store / Play Store review wait.
Can different staff see different languages?
All staff logged into the same WordPress site see the same translations. If you need different languages per gate, run a small multisite or use per-user settings via a separate plugin. Most teams just pick one language for the whole event.
Does it translate the customer-facing tickets too?
No — this add-on is just for the staff-facing Checkinera app. For customer-facing emails and ticket PDFs, see the Tickera translations guide.
What if new strings get added in a future Checkinera version?
New strings added in future app versions appear automatically in the translation screen, English by default until you fill them in.
Does it work offline?
Yes — once the app has fetched the translations on login, it caches them on the device. Subsequent scans use the cached translations even if the device goes offline.
