– Event description ticket template element
you want a short blurb about the event (“Annual Spring Showcase — featuring 12 emerging artists from across the region”) visible on the printed PDF ticket itself, not just on the event page. Useful for tickets that double as keepsakes, for sponsored events where the description includes the sponsor message, or for season-pass tickets that need event-by-event context.
The free add-on
- Download: event-description-ticket-element.zip
- WordPress admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, install, activate.
- Open Tickera → Ticket Templates, edit your template.
- Drag the new Event Description element onto your layout.
- Position, size, font — save.
From the next ticket onward, the PDF shows the event description exactly as you entered it in the event edit screen (Tickera → Events → pick event → Description field).
Tips on writing a good ticket-side description
The space on a ticket is small. The text you write on the event page might be three paragraphs — too long for a ticket. Consider keeping the event description deliberately short, or use the Custom Text element instead if you want a separate, ticket-specific blurb that’s different from the event page’s longer description.
- Good ticket-side copy: “Annual Spring Showcase — May 12, 2026, 7pm. 12 emerging artists, one stage. Doors at 6:30.”
- Too long for a ticket: three paragraphs about the festival’s history, sponsor list, and venue parking instructions.
Works in standalone and Bridge mode
The element hooks the Tickera template builder directly, so it works whether you’re running Tickera standalone or with Bridge for WooCommerce. Same draggable element, same data source.
