When using the Seating Charts add-on, each seat or standing area on your chart must be associated with a specific ticket type. This determines pricing, availability, and how tickets are displayed during purchase.
To make this connection possible, the Seating Charts add-on adds two additional options to every ticket type. Both options are available whether Tickera is used as a standalone plugin or alongside WooCommerce via Bridge for WooCommerce.
This option defines whether a ticket type is intended to be used exclusively with Seating Charts.
If set to Yes, this ticket type will be hidden everywhere else in your store. It will not appear on your event pages, shortcodes, or WooCommerce product listings.
This ensures that tickets meant for assigned seating cannot be purchased outside of a seating chart, preventing seatless tickets from being generated.
This behavior is especially important when running Tickera alongside WooCommerce via Bridge for WooCommerce.
If a WooCommerce product is declared as a ticket type and this option is enabled, that product will not appear on any WooCommerce shop or category pages. The only way to purchase it will be through the seating chart interface.
Use this option whenever you’re selling assigned seating tickets to ensure that every sold ticket has a seat attached to it.
The Seat color option defines the visual color of seats or standing areas associated with this ticket type.
It helps differentiate zones, price levels, or seating categories within the chart.
For example:
Changing this color will update all seats or areas linked to this ticket type in your chart automatically.
Seat colors are purely visual but play an important role in readability and overall user experience.
Be careful when choosing your seat colors.
Make sure they are clearly different from the colors you’ve defined in Seating Charts -> Settings for various seat states, such as:
If your seat colors are too similar to these system colors, customers may become confused — for example, they might think available seats are already taken.
Pick distinct, high-contrast colors that make each ticket type visually clear and easy to understand.
