– Display Seat Number in the Checkinera app separately
A Checkinera customization for showing the seat number as a separate prominent field in the check-in screen — useful for seated events where gate staff need to direct each attendee to their specific seat after a successful scan.
By default, Tickera displays seat number in Checkinera app as part of the ticket type title, shown in parentheses next to the title. This works well in most cases, but if your ticket type names are on the longer side, the seat label and number can become difficult to read inside the Checkinera app—especially on smaller screens or in fast-paced scanning environments.
To improve clarity, this add-on separates the seating chart label and seat number into their own dedicated field within the Checkinera app. Instead of being buried inside the ticket type title, the seat information is displayed cleanly and prominently alongside other attendee details. This makes it much easier for staff to quickly confirm seat assignments while scanning, without having to decipher long ticket type titles.
Simply download, install, and activate the add-on below:
The add-on installs like any other WordPress plugin. It works automatically upon activation and is compatible with both standalone Tickera installations and setups where Tickera runs alongside WooCommerce via the Bridge for WooCommerce add-on.
For an even smoother workflow, you can pair this solution with:
- Redirect to the attendee info screen after check-in – so the seat number appears immediately after each successful scan.
- Display event name in the Checkinera app – helpful when scanning tickets for multiple events using a single API key.
