Free Orders
The Free Orders gateway in Tickera handles purchases where the total amount is zero — typically free events, or paid events where a 100% discount code zeroes out the total. When enabled, buyers don’t see a payment step; they confirm the order, the gateway processes it as Completed immediately, the ticket is generated and emailed, and Tickera marks the order as Free.
This is what lets a $0 ticket flow through the same checkout pipeline as a $50 ticket without any payment gateway needing to handle the zero charge.
This method will be automatically chosen if order total is 0 (zero). It cannot be disabled and acts as a fallback if and only if the order total is 0 (zero).
- Public Method Name – Insert public name for this payment method which will be visible to buyers. For example ‘Free Orders’
- Admin Method Name – Insert admin name for this payment method which will be visible within the administration panel
- Payment Method Info – Information about the payment method which will be visible to user
- Confirmation Message – An additional message shown on confirmation page
- Free Order Status – From this dropdown menu you can select automatic payment status which will be set for each order totalling zero. For instance, you can automatically set status for all orders with 100% discount code or orders with free tickets to “Order Paid”
